November 2024 is a big month for me because it is a big birthday: I am turning 60 years wise on November 22. And, what has come to mind is an epic road trip to celebrate.
This has been on my bucket list for decades: rent a camper van and travel around exploring, capturing other people's stories to share, and having an epic good time. I figure this could be THE TIME to do this, so with all ideas, I share it with the Beloved Universe to help me manifest it into reality (*). Part of this ties into another project that is slowly becoming a reality. I 'started' on a book about a decade ago and revisited it during That Year (aka 2020). It will be a compilation of reflections and motivation for 2nd Act women who wish to reclaim their passions. The working title is The Ride: Revving Up to Live Your Best Life - A guide for 2nd Act Women Seeking to Live a Full Life. I hope to support them with their personal courage in living a life full of discovery, connection and joyful experiences. In 2014, I started navigating the 'pitfalls' of being over 40 years old: peri-menopause...not being able to find employment...etc. and I embarked on my own discovery of personal development. I have read countless books from the genre since that time and the result is, I am the most confident I have ever been in my life. Of course, there is much more to my story and I know other women are interested in learning how to embark on their own journey of self-discovery. I polled a few women and travel stories was the most favored topic to explore. Well, my Epic Road Trip may very well make for some good stories! My dear friend and talented illustrator, Ceci, created a mock up of my book cover to help inspire me. I hope you will also feel inspired to follow along on my adventures. I'll be writing some blogs and posting content on my Instagram account. Let the adventure begin!!!! (*) Manifestation TOTALLY works.
