ShePVD is a community event created by Dennise Kowalczyk and Alyssa Goldstein that highlights woman-identifying performers in a variety of artistic and performance disciplines, including music, dance, theater, comedy, and spoken word.
The long-term goal of this project is to build and sustain an annual woman-centered festival for the Rhode Island community. Our aim is to raise awareness of gender equality by showcasing the vibrancy and diversity of women's creative endeavors in Rhode Island.
ShePVD aims to provide a platform for women-identifying performers to share their talents with the community while being compensated for their work. We aim to showcase the breadth and depth of women's artistic vision in Rhode Island.
